Volunteer

The Kingston Pride 2008 Parade is only two weeks away, and the Pride Committee NEEDS YOUR HELP!

• We want volunteers! Lots!
• We want floats--decorated cars or trucks! Lots!
• We want dykes on bikes! and queers on gears! Lots!
• We want Marshals--fourteen committed and security-minded people to keep the parade safe (to make sure traffic stops at intersections and to keep people to one lane)!
• We want banners, and puppets, and decorated people, and we want to know that you will be there!
• We want volunteers to help set up, and to help clean up, and to help blow up balloons!
• We want people to help with crowd control, and to help decorate, and to help run a children's area (or it ain't gonna happen this year)!
• We want helpers for the post-parade party at the Grad Club!
• We want people who can run music trucks!

We want you to come to the Post-Parade BBQ from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at the Queen's Grad Club, and we need to pre-sell some tickets to make it work!

So, get your pride on and contact us so that we can sign you up for something and know that this parade will be a hit!

And if your group, organization, or business is planning to put a car in the parade, or to walk behind a banner, please let us know.

We will also be having two planning meetings at the Queen's Grad Club:

Tuesday 27 May 2008 at 6.00 p.m and Tuesday 3 June at 6.00 p.m.
